Thanksgiving parties are becoming more and more popular among groups of people. Having the ability to celebrate in gratitude is a great idea- especially with toddlers.

Thanksgiving dinner is the star of turkey day, but why stop everyone’s favorite holidays there? Help your guests feel special with a delicious treat or another simple idea mentioned in this article.

Get your kids involved

There are a lot of benefits for involving your toddler in something as thoughtful and fun as favors for your Thanksgiving celebration. Not only will it help express gratitude to your thanksgiving guests, but it will be a fun activity to occupy your little ones before the party starts.

Think about it this way- your child can do something as simple as coloring the gift tag so that you can decorate your Thanksgiving table in peace.

No matter who is invited to your Thanksgiving feast, your guests will love your children’s involvement in the turkey time preparations.

Easy Party Favors

If you ask me, Thanksgiving is truly the most wonderful time of year. I love the beginning of November when I get to hang my thanksgiving wreath and decorate my dinner table with corn husk and turkeys that say ‘gobble til you wobble’. Even better, I love to show my dinner guests how much I appreciate them with little gifts. Here are a few Thanksgiving favor ideas that say ‘Happy Thanksgiving’

  • Turkey treat bags filled with candy corn
  • Handmade place cards your toddler can make with a kraft tag from the craft store
  • Let your kids help you make caramel apples (they can add the sprinkles) wrapped in a cello bag
  • Visit local party supply stores in your area to see what fun, unique items that they have and support small businesses.
  • Let your Toddler paint fake corn husks (I just grab them from the dollar stores)

More Thanksgiving Favor Ideas

three thanksgiving favor ideas made with toddlers. One is 3 paper pumpkins, the middle is a rock decorated as a pilgrim and the last is a paper turkey.

Feeling crafty? Here are some Thanksgiving favor ideas that your kids would love to help you with!

Toilet Paper Tube Pumpkin Box

This adorably simple pumpkin box would be the perfect activity to get kids excited for the holiday. Fill with some simple treats and pass out after dinner!

Want to be a little silly? Fill the boxes with and antacid to help your guests digest on the way home.

DIY Thanksgiving Rock

A few days before dinner is served, go on a walk with your kids and find the perfect rocks to paint for Thanksgiving. Let them dry then paint some fun turkeys and anything else that matches the theme for the day.

FREE Printable Place Cards

Place cards are an easy way to decorate the table and help make the meal enjoyable for everyone. Use these free printable place cards or-better yet- have your kid sit and make their own.

For toddlers, you will have to write the names of the guests first then let them add the color.

Succulent Pumpkins

These adorable pumpkins can be used for decoration for the entire fall season, but for thanksgiving I love to make these as party favors. Not only are they festive, but succulents are notorious for being easy to care for.

Want to know my favorite trick? Have it be a part of your thanksgiving decorations! Put it as part of the table setting and as your guests are leaving make sure they don’t forget any party favors.

DIY Fabric Flowers

These fabric flowers are so easy to make and even easier to give away, since you know that they will be loved! Get some Thanksgiving themed fabric at the store and get to sewing.

Your guests will be able to use them to decorate in their own home in November for years to come.
